Our Commitment to Holistic Wellness

Rather than treating wellness as purely physical or purely spiritual, we emphasize lived practice. Our work draws on Tibetan-inspired healing traditions, herbal knowledge, ritual practice, and contemplative methods to help individuals restore balance, resilience and inner clarity.

The vision of Tanaduk Wellness arose from a desire to create a space that supports both dedicated spiritual practitioners and those seeking overall wellbeing, grounded in a commitment to the guidance and teachings of our spiritual lineages, and inspired by our root teachers and spiritual companions on the path.

It is influenced by Tanaduk, the garden of Medicine Buddha, in which all ailments can be supported.

Who We Are

Claire Wehrle

Claire has been a dedicated Reiki Master-Teacher since 2019, with additional training and attunements in Norse Rune energy healing and Karuna Ki Reiki. Alongside her energy healing practice, she has several years of experience providing intuitive energy readings for clients, helping individuals gain insight, clarity, and support on their personal wellness journeys.

Claire is also a Trauma-informed practitioner and experienced clinical herbalist, currently working toward becoming a registered herbalist with the American Herbalists Guild. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Herbal Medicine from Maryland University of Integrative Health and has additionally studied Sowa Rigpa with Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, continuing to deepen her knowledge and skills in order to better support the wellbeing of others through holistic and integrative approaches.

Beyond her professional qualifications, Claire has been a near-lifelong practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism and contemplative spirituality. At a young age, she was fortunate to meet Lho Bongtrul Rinpoche, an experience that inspired in her a deep and enduring faith in the Dharma and the path of compassionate practice. From early in life, Claire felt a sincere calling to support the wellbeing of others, a path that naturally evolved into the study of herbal medicine, energy healing, and contemplative wellness practices. She is passionate about helping people cultivate balance, healing, and inner peace, and considers it a profound honor to support others as they move toward greater wellbeing, resilience, and fulfillment in their lives.

Hilary Wehrle

Hilary has been a dedicated practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism since 1994, first taking her refuge vows under Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche and Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche. In 1999, she took her Ngakmo vows before traveling to Kathmandu as an anthropology student with the intention of tracing the influence of female tantric adepts throughout the Himalayas and Central Asian steppes. Instead, her path unfolded in an unexpected direction as she spent the following decade in devoted service to a little-known Rimé scholar who shared profound transmissions and teachings of the Dharma while she helped establish an international Buddhist center that fostered a vibrant and deeply connected sangha community.

Feeling called to rediscover her own direction, Hilary explored Seiðr, the Norse trance traditions rooted in ancient shamanic practices, before ultimately returning to Tibetan wisdom traditions with renewed clarity and purpose. She gained her certificate in Clinical Herbal Medicine from Maryland University of Integrative Health. Her studies in Sowa Rigpa under Dr. Nida Chenagtsang strengthened her aspiration for contemplative practice, holistic wellbeing, and authentic community grounded in kindness, non-competition, and mutual support. Hilary further found intersection with her professional career in architectural preservation and geomancy, bringing her sense of space, environment, and energy together.

Hilary has had the rare fortune to study with some of the great Tibetan masters of this era, including Ngakpa Lama Dawa Chhodak Rinpoche, and to receive teachings and transmissions from His Holinesses the Dalai Lama, Chetsang Rinpoche, Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche, among many others in the Nyingma and Drikung Kargyu lineages. Her work today integrates contemplative practice, Tibetan healing traditions, sacred space, and purpose-centered wellbeing through the vision of Tanaduk Wellness..

Ritual Wellbeing

Our ritual wellbeing offerings comprise a range of compassion-based practices based in Sowa Rigpa—sacred ceremonies, ritual arts, and disciplined recitations. These practices can be very beneficial for a number of things - including boosting luck and prosperity, nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, and even providing benefit to departed loved ones. We only offer practices that we have gained permission to do for others, and that we have learned from respected teachers in the tradition. Following traditional Tibetan Buddhist customs, these may be either donation-based or for a set cost with a percentage going towards Buddhist projects of either ours or another teacher.

Teachers, Lineage, and Ethics

  • Lineage continuity: Ritual authority and efficacy are grounded in authenticated transmission from realized teachers. Proper empowerments, transmissions, and oral instructions ensure authentic practice and maintain the integrity of ritual forms.

  • Samaya and ethical commitments: Although we are lay tantric practitioners, we hold ethical and devotional commitments (including some vows) to our teachers and the practices we do. Observance of samaya ensures that rituals are engaged with integrity and prevent psychological or spiritual harm.

  • Our teachers and personal practice are primarily of the Nyingma and Drikung Kargyu schools of Tibetan Buddhism, although we have obtained teachings from teachers in other lineages as well. Our primary teacher in Sowa Rigpa is Dr. Nida Chenagtsang.

Our Current Projects

Yudron Gakhyil Ling Retreat Center

Roughly translated to “Yudronma’s Land of Bliss” our goal is to offer traditional retreat facilities for those wishing to participate in intensive practices, including weekend, dark, 3-week, 3-month, or 3-year retreats. We would like there to be opportunities to study Sowa Rigpa from visiting teachers as well.

Visiting Teachers

Tanaduk Wellness plans to host visiting Tibetan teachers, practitioners, and lineage holders to offer authentic teachings in meditation, contemplative practice, spiritual transmission, and Sowa Rigpa. Through workshops, retreats, and educational programs, participants have the opportunity to learn directly from experienced teachers grounded in Tibetan wisdom traditions. These offerings are designed to support personal growth, inner balance, healing, and deeper understanding through traditional practices adapted for modern wellbeing.
