Restorative Energy Healing
About
At Tanaduk Wellness, Restorative Energy Healing is a holistic approach to supporting balance, relaxation, and overall well-being. These sessions are designed to create space for rest, renewal, and reconnection, helping clients navigate stress, life transitions, emotional challenges, and the demands of everyday life with greater ease and resilience.
Each session is tailored to the individual and may incorporate intention setting, mindfulness practices, reflective discussion, or other supportive wellness approaches. Whether received in person or at a distance, restorative energy healing offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and cultivate greater clarity, peace, and well-being on your wellness journey.
Reiki serves as the primary modality within our restorative energy healing practice because of its gentle, adaptable, and holistic approach to supporting well-being. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or challenges, Reiki encourages deep relaxation and creates space for the body, mind, and spirit to return to a greater state of balance. We value Reiki as a practice that meets individuals where they are, whether they are seeking stress reduction, emotional support, personal growth, spiritual connection, or simply an opportunity to rest and restore.
Developed by Mikao Usui in Japan, Reiki is often practiced as a form of compassionate presence that supports the body's natural capacity for healing and restoration. While Reiki is not a Buddhist practice, it shares many values found within Buddhist traditions, including mindfulness, compassion, ethical living, self-cultivation, and the aspiration to reduce suffering.
At Tanaduk Wellness, Reiki is approached as a supportive wellness modality that encourages deep relaxation and greater awareness of the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Our practice draws from both Usui Reiki and Karuna Ki Reiki traditions. Usui Reiki provides the foundational approach of channeling universal life energy to support balance and well-being, while Karuna Ki Reiki (developed by Vincent Amador) incorporates additional symbols and practices centered on compassion, emotional healing, and spiritual growth.
What to Expect
During an in-person session, clients typically rest comfortably while Reiki is offered through hands positioned just above the body. The experience is quiet, relaxing, and individualized to each person's needs and intentions. A distance Reiki session offers the same intention of relaxation, balance, and energetic support as an in-person session, while allowing you to receive Reiki from the comfort of your own home or another quiet space. Distance Reiki is based on the understanding that Reiki energy is not limited by physical location and can be offered across time and space through focused intention and traditional Reiki methods.
Before the session, you will be invited to identify any intentions, areas of focus, or wellness concerns you would like to explore. These may relate to stress, emotional well-being, life transitions, spiritual growth, relaxation, or a general desire for greater balance and clarity. You are welcome to share as much or as little as feels comfortable.
At the scheduled time, you may choose to sit comfortably, lie down, meditate, journal, or simply rest. Many clients create a peaceful environment by dimming the lights, lighting a candle, listening to calming music, or spending a few moments in mindful breathing before the session begins. There is no need to do anything special—simply being open to the experience is enough.
During the session, Reiki is offered using a combination of Usui and Karuna Ki Reiki practices. The practitioner works with intention, presence, and compassionate awareness, directing Reiki energy to support your overall well-being. Some clients experience sensations such as warmth, tingling, heaviness, lightness, emotional release, deep relaxation, or vivid imagery. Others may simply notice a sense of calm or peaceful rest. Every experience is unique, and there is no right or wrong way to receive Reiki.
Following the session, clients are often encouraged to take a few moments for reflection and hydration. Some may notice immediate shifts in their sense of calm, clarity, or emotional balance, while others experience more subtle changes unfolding over the following days. A brief follow-up discussion or written summary is provided to share observations, intuitive impressions, or suggestions for ongoing self-care and wellness practices.
Benefits Experienced by Clients
Many clients report feeling deeply relaxed, grounded, and refreshed following a Reiki session. Potential benefits may include reduced stress, improved emotional well-being, greater self-awareness, enhanced relaxation, and a stronger sense of inner balance. Reiki is not a substitute for medical or mental health care, but it can serve as a complementary practice that supports overall wellness and helps cultivate a greater sense of peace, resilience, and connection in daily life.
